What we collect

When you sign in with Google we receive your name, email address and profile picture. During onboarding we ask for your years of experience, an optional display name, and your browser's timezone.

As you use the site we store:

  • Which questions you have opened the deep breakdown for, and when
  • Which questions you have bookmarked
  • Your confidence ratings and multiple-choice answers
  • Your XP total, streak and daily activity counts

What we do with it

We use it to run the product: to show your progress, order questions to your experience level, calculate your streak, and rank the leaderboard. That is all. We do not sell your data and we do not run advertising.

What is public

If you opt in to the leaderboard, your display name, profile picture, XP and streak are visible to anyone. You can turn this off at onboarding or in your profile, and nothing else about your account is ever public.

Who else sees it

  • Google — authentication only. We never receive your password.
  • Supabase — our database host, where the data above is stored.
  • Vercel — our hosting provider, which processes requests and keeps standard server logs.

Deleting your data

Email hello@thedevopsdrop.com and we will delete your account and everything associated with it. Deletions cascade — no orphaned progress records are kept.

Cookies

One cookie, holding your signed session. No tracking or advertising cookies.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, we will say so on the site rather than quietly editing this page.
